Refund and make-up class policy

As a charity, we work on the basis of compassion, mutual cooperation, respect, and understanding. Our teachers are paid for their shift time whether a student attends or not, so as a general rule missed sessions aren't refunded unless the cause is a technical issue on our side or a teacher's sickness or absence.

If you know you'll miss a class, try to reschedule at least 24 hours ahead (if your teacher has free slots). Here's how each scenario is handled:

Student illness, medical appointment, family emergency, or exams

• Make-up class: yes, if the teacher has free slots.
• Refund credit: issued upon student request if no make-up class is possible. The credit is applied automatically to next month's bill.

Vacation, school holidays, schedule conflict, or forgetting to attend

• Make-up class: no.
• Refund credit: no.

Teacher is sick or absent

• Make-up class: yes, if the teacher has free slots when classes resume.
• Refund credit: issued without any request if no make-up class is possible, applied to next month's bill.

System issues (missing schedule, broken classroom link, teacher's internet)

• Make-up class: yes, if the teacher has free slots.
• Refund credit: issued without any request if no make-up class is possible, applied to next month's bill.

Ramadan and Eid holidays

• Make-up class: no — teachers don't teach in Ramadan; they complete a full-time training program on full salary.
• Refund credit: available for Ramadan upon request. We request that students consider the Ramadan fee a donation, but will issue a full refund for the Ramadan period if you ask. No refund applies when classes simply fall on Eid days.

Note: Because Ramadan usually starts mid-month, the system still bills accounts automatically on the 1st; request the Ramadan credit if you'd like it.
