My name is Emad Mohammad Kadah.
I began memorizing the Qur’an at a young age and completed my memorization at the age of 24, graduating with an Ijazah in memorization of Qur’an from Hafs ‘an Aasim from the way of Tayyibah, Alhamdulilah.
I learnt that the Qur’an is an illumination for hearts. I truly feel that my heart is clear and peaceful when I read the Qur’an and this feeling is heightened for me by verse 52 from Surah ash-Shurah. Also, the Prophet (sallallahu ‘alahi wa sallam) said, whoever wants to speak to Allah, let him read the Qur’an.
When I recite the Qur’an, I feel a connection with Allah and know with certainty that this is from a Divine source and from no one other than Allah.
My favourite Surah is Surah Hud. In this Surah, Allah tells us about the conditions of the nations that belied the Messengers and their fate so that we may not follow in their footsteps. May Allah protect us.
I became a Qur’an teacher because of the saying of the Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu ‘alahi wa sallam):
(خيركم من تعلم القرآن وعلمه)
“The best among you are those that learn the Qur’an and teach it.” [Bukhari]
And I intend to live by this prophetic narration.
My family is very happy and supportive of me being a teacher of the Qur’an. I believe that an important aspect for a teacher is to develop a relationship with their student, and build and maintain this comfort and trust, and InShaaAllah this will facilitate ease in study of the Qur’an.
I am proud to be associated with Tanzeel and Alhamdulillah with the help of technology, students may learn from the comfort of their homes at the click of a button. I pray that many students take advantage of this opportunity and blessing from Allah. My goal is to teach students and inculcate the Qur’an into their lives, especially those who have never learned the Qur’an and New Muslims.
